This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes activities that are not allowed when using BoardMason (the "Service"). It forms part of our Terms of Service. We may update it as needed to keep the Service safe and lawful.
1. Prohibited activities
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break any applicable law or regulation, or infringe anyone’s rights;
- upload, connect, or distribute content you do not have the right to use, including material that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
- store or transmit malware, or use the Service to probe, scan, or breach the security of any system;
- gain unauthorized access to accounts, data, or networks, or circumvent authentication or rate limits;
- send spam or unsolicited messages, or harvest data about others without permission;
- publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that exploits or endangers minors;
- impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation;
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including denial-of-service activity or placing an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service except as permitted by law; or
- resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted.
2. High-risk and restricted uses
The Service is general-purpose business software and is not designed for use where failure could lead to death, personal injury, or severe environmental damage. You are responsible for ensuring the Service is appropriate for your use case and for complying with any rules that apply to your industry or data.
3. Your data sources and content
You are responsible for the data sources you connect and the dashboards you create, including having the necessary rights and consents, and for what you choose to make public. Do not connect or publish data you are not permitted to use or share.
4. Enforcement
If we believe you have violated this AUP, we may remove content, throttle or restrict features, and suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice depending on the severity. Where appropriate, we may report activity to law enforcement.
